Coombsville lies in the heart
of the Napa Valleys emerging Tulocay region and has been
recognized for its unique terroir for over 40 years. Located on
gently-sloping terrain, our vineyard provides a micro-climate
perfectly suited to growing muscular Bordeaux-varietal wines
exhibiting the distinctive Coombsville terroir. The climate is
notable for its cooler mornings and the average daytime
temperatures are cooler than those in Napa Valley. This makes
for a long slow growing period that allows for extended "hang
time"; it is one of the last areas to be harvested in the Napa
Valley. Because of its cooler weather the wines do not tend to
develop overripe characters like in the warmer areas of Central
Napa.
